Zoom Instructions

NEW TO ZOOM?
If you have not used Zoom before, you will need to download the program (for free!) here. Download the first option, “Zoom Client for Meetings”.

Alternatively, if you are using a mobile device you can locate the app Zoom Cloud Meetings via the App Store (Apple devices) or Google Play Store (Android devices).

JOINING SESSIONS
Once the software is on your computer/device all you will need is the link to the session, provided on Moodle. Click on the link when it’s time to join and Zoom will automatically launch.

EQUIPMENT
Zoom is an audio/video conferencing program, so if you would like to share your video and audio in a session make sure you have a microphone and camera on your device or computer (note that using the Zoom app on a smartphone will guarantee these two options are available). There is also the option to communicate via the chat function. For more information see Audio Options in Zoom.

RECORDINGS
All of our Zoom sessions will be automatically recorded as soon as any participant enters, so please be aware of this. If you accidentally join the session before the time or date, don't worry. You can hit "Leave Meeting" and our admin team will take care of the false recording. After the session has occurred, the recording will be reviewed and uploaded to Moodle.
